We have a new opening for a Senior Administrative Coordinator. The Senior Administrative Coordinator maintains staffing database to ensure scheduling for staff is maintained correctly within the database. Help implement and develop staffing solutions to comply with company procedures. Perform general administrative tasks and perform diversified secretarial duties for hospital CEO, CFO, Medical Director, and physicians. Responsible for contracts at the facility for physician and physician extenders. Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including male and female children, adolescents and adults as well as dually diagnosed adults. In absence of these qualifications upon hire, must demonstrate ability to learn these concepts and develop these skills within reasonable time frame via the organization’s orientation and training program .

Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in field.
  • Training in secretarial science, medical and psychiatric terminology, word processing, typing skills of 60 wpm, basic filing and organizing skills, ability to take dictation.
  • Must demonstrate ability to proof read and accurately and professionally complete all assignments; prioritize multiple responsibilities; be discreet and maintain strict confidentiality of employee, patient and hospital information; maintain an excellent time performance record and sufficient good health to maintain continuity of services; accurately receive and transfer telephone calls and take messages; accurately file and retrieve information; schedule appointments; interact professionally and appropriately with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, corporate dignitaries and professional visitors, as the majority of day is spent working with and around others.
General Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age per Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services.
  • Must have patience, tact, and a professional disposition.
  • Good communication skills; must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Basic clerical skills, basic experience with office equipment (telephone, copy machine, fax, etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to problem solve and accept feedback when circumstances warrant such actions.
  • Willingness to interact with patients with varying levels of cognitive functioning.
  • Travel may be required.
