Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan (CCSEM) has been serving the communities in St. Clair, Lapeer, Monroe, Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties since the late 1940s. CCSEM is a non-profit organization that provides comprehensive social services that empower individuals and families through skill development and advocacy to manage their environment in order to achieve a healthy quality of life. All agency services reflect a profound concern for human life, with a strong commitment to family life. Each year the agency services approximately 20,000 persons of all faiths, races and cultures throughout southeast with special emphasis on low income and poor families.
Qualification/Experience/Responsibilities
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Two years’ experience in a senior services or volunteer management preferred. We are seeking an individual to work as a Senior Companion Program Coordinator in our Senior Companion Program in Oakland and Macomb County. This individual must have a passion for working with older adults. The Senior Companion Program Coordinator will work with leadership to recruit and supervise volunteers. The best candidate will be a “people person” who appreciates the wisdom and life experiences of older adults. The successful candidate will match volunteers with older adults to provide assistance and companionship. The candidate must be highly organized, competent with technology and be able to learn the requirements, policies, and procedures. They need to be able to prepare monthly in services, perform monthly site visits and enter data accurately and efficiently. The best candidate will be someone who is driven to serve the community.
Work Environment, Physical Demands & Travel:
This job operates in a professional office environment and includes approximately 25% travel within Macomb and Oakland County.
Position Classification, Type & Expected Hours of Work
:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Job Type: Full Time, 40hours/week
Pay: From $16 - $17 per hour
