We are seeking a talented Senior Corporate Accountant to join our team in Denver, CO. This position will include responsibility for preparation of complicated journal entries, including but not limited to, Revenue and Cost of Goods Sold entries. The Senior Corp Accountant will also be responsible for preparing assigned account reconciliations and include proper support for the account balance. To be successful, candidates should have knowledge of general accounting duties including experience in GAAP reporting, accruals, monthly financial statements and budgets. The position requires the Senior Accountant to prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

The schedule for this position is full time, Monday through Friday (hybrid work schedule).
The pay range for this role is $75,000 - $90,000 , depending on experience.

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
  • Perform the full accrual, month-end close procedures including journal entries
  • Maintain schedules for prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, fixed assets, capitalized software and other intangible assets, intercompany accounts, and other reconciliations as assigned
  • Ensure compliance with General Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Coordinate with the Accounts Payable Process for proper accrual and reporting
  • Assist with preparation and analysis of financial information, including budget reports, financial statements, and required supplementary information
  • Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidated statement reporting process to executive management
  • Prepare standard and ad-hoc monthly and annual accounting reports and analysis
  • Maintain documentation on existing accounting processes and procedures and propose improvements as deemed necessary

Additional Duties:
  • Provides support for the department and assists with special projects, as assigned
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, required
    • 4+ years of professional accounting experience, required
    • Healthcare experience preferred
    • Pharmacy experience preferred
    • Experience working with large amounts of data in excel, journal entries, and reconciliations, preferred
    • Recent experience with NetSuite accounting software packages is advantageous

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Ability to work well on teams, with individuals outside department and be a positive team member
    • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
    • Proficiency with NetSuite accounting software
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to team well with other departments
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
    • Must have advanced experience working with Microsoft Office 7 (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • General knowledge of confidential data and financial information management processes

    Physical Requirements:
    • Light to moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 25 lbs.) -Heavier weights with assistance
    • Sitting or standing for long periods of time
    • Repetitive motions and/or prolonged computer use
    • Working at a fast pace, subject to many interruptions and both physical and mental stress
