POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Cybersecurity Support Engineer ensures that company products are deployed and maintained securely. This role works with customer facing service teams to discover and eliminate vulnerabilities, provide recommendations for current and future deployments, supported configurations, and ensures efficacy and compliance of support security policies and procedures. Customer focused interactions related to cybersecurity incidents impacting our products and/or environments where our products live, and remote access security arrangements are a focus of this role.
- Identify and help remediate current and future security threats
- Monitor Department of Defense (DoD) and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) security guidance updates and lead necessary compliance efforts
- Monitor security community and healthcare standards communities
- Provide security guidance and advice in customer discussions
- Manage the remediation of application and platform security vulnerabilities
- Ensure system vulnerabilities are identified and remediated or mitigated to FDA and DoD standards.
- Conduct reliable system security audits and functional testing following remediation of cybersecurity incidents impacting our products and/or environments where our products live
- Collaborate with Compliance, R&D, and customer facing service teams on an effective strategic security framework
- Assist in process development, documentation, and related training
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, equivalent work experience and related CISSP, Security+, Network+, or equivalent certification
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience conducting technical security assessments
- 3+ years in a support or deployment environment preferred
- Experience with end-to-end application and platform security evaluations
- Strong knowledge of deploying and maintaining security architectures in medical diagnostic device applications preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency executing various types of penetration testing
- Knowledge of enterprise environment impact on architectural design with respect to security
- Web and server application functional and security testing
- Knowledge of FDA security guidance preferred
