The Creative Strategy Team at Trimble is joining the growing movement of next-gen solutions towards the architecture of our web stack. Modeling our approach off of JAMstack architecture, we are building for scale, security, performance, maintainability, and portability.

We are looking for a skilled Frontend Engineer/Developer to join the Web Team to develop and launch websites in a decoupled architecture.

In this role, you have the opportunity to be the primary owner of various codebases, be a member of a cross-functional team supporting corporate marketing strategies, mentor and guide front-end developers, and be expected to work with product, design, and marketing teams to grow our capabilities. You will have the support of our DevOps and Operation teams to create scalable solutions and release reliable well-tested applications.

Responsibilities:

• Write modular, secure, well-tested, and reusable UI Components (React, HTML, CSS)
• Lead in creating and converting existing websites to JAMstack (Contentful, Gatsby)
• Collaborate with product, design, operations, and development teams in translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Help develop technical and product roadmaps and assist in the evaluation, development, and roll-out of new development technologies, tools, and frameworks
• Build components using best practices and standards for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
• Write unit tests, integration tests for new and existing features to improve performance and cross-compatibility.

Qualifications (what is bolded is critical):

• 5+ years of solid experience in Frontend Development
• 3+ years of ReactJS
• Work experience with Gatsby Framework
• 2+ years experience with building websites using a headless CMS, preferably Contentful.
• Have a deep proficiency in JavaScript and current standards (ES6+)
• Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbally and written.
• Ability to work on cross-functional teams
• Agile development environment experience
• Can write clear code and keep it well documented
• Have built sites for international/multi-language environments.
