TITLE: Sr. Generalist, Human Resources

LOCATION: Syracuse, IN

DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

REPORTS TO: Sr. Manager, Human Resources

JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Human Resources Generalist acts as a partner to our company leaders and advocate for our employees. This position requires a well-rounded Human Resources professional with experience successfully developing positive relationships while being a change agent throughout the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Support for managers, supervisors, and employees to provide counsel, coaching and support on HR-related topics and issues in a complex and dynamic manufacturing environment
• Maintain visibility and active presence at all levels of the organization
• Heavy recruiting responsibility for assigned vacancies
• Develops human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information and recommending appropriate action plans
• Assist and/or facilitate new hire orientations as needed
• Provide scheduled and ad hoc reporting to company leadership and Polaris corporate
• Lead the execution of open enrollment, including the annual buildout of our enrollment portal and carrier electronic data feeds
• Writes, revises, and maintains hourly and salaried job descriptions and wage studies
• Complete employee change forms when necessary
• Primary point of contact for employee benefit questions or issues, including but not limited to FMLA, STD/LTD, and other qualifying leaves of absence
• Participate in annual organizational and talent reviews, and HR long-range planning
• Serve as back-up to document and communicate daily absenteeism and guide employees through current COVID protocol as required

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

• BS in Human Resources or related field preferred
• Prior Human Resources experience in a fast-paced manufacturing facility required
• Prior recruitment experience with production and professional level roles, including passive sourcing
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems, ADP Workforce Now is a plus
• Demonstrated project management and multi-tasking skills while staying detail-oriented
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and build strong relationships
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills are a must
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, bilingual ability (English/Spanish) is a plus
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
