This role is responsible for providing Human Resources consultation and support to clients through assessment, identification, and execution of HR strategies to accomplish the client’s business and Human Resources objectives. Additionally, this role serves as the lead advisor for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as clients’ internal consultant by assessing a company’s current HR programs and recommending solutions using knowledge of various HR functions
- Advise clients on the administration of human resources policies and procedures, and employment law requirements
- Develop, revise, and implement HR policies and procedures as requested by the client
- Conduct assessments of HR activities to ensure HR programs and services are in compliance with established policies and procedures and state/federal laws and regulations
- Provide advice and recommendations to clients for resolution of daily issues on a variety of Human Resources topics
- Present training sessions related to specific HR programs
- Conduct research through various methods (data collection, surveys, employee conversations, etc.) to identify a problematic situation or find the cause
- Formulate strategic and practical plans to address human resource matters
- Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with clients and contacts
- Devise plans and techniques to drive change and culture management
- Select and implement suitable HR technology
- Help establish control systems for compliance with business methods and HR practices
- Review systems and processes and make modifications to address issues
- Mentor and direct the work of HR Advisors as appropriate
- Be knowledgeable of advancements in the field and present new ideas to clients
Knowledge and Skills:
- Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of HR principles, functions, methods and best practices, as well as strong business acumen
- Ability to quickly establish rapport with clients
- Commitment and initiatives to focus on client needs thoroughly until situation resolved
- Ability to understand the clients business and explain HR ideas and concepts in a simplified manner that apply to the business
- Honest and with integrity makes appropriate recommendations to clients that are in their best interest
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- An analytical mind with problem-solving abilities and flexibility to improvise as needed

We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Advisor (full or part time) to join our team to support our central and northern Cincinnati clients. The work performed will be a blend of remote and onsite with the clients. The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 5 years of HR Experience in a HR Business Partner role, functioning as a trusted advisor and HR leader to their business partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.
