ABILITY OR SKILLS:

The Senior Network Engineer will focus on maintaining the technology integrity and functionality of the CCU core network infrastructure components and network. Design, configure, maintain, and manage network devices to achieve optimal performance and maximum availability. Must have excellent, hands-on technical knowledge and experience working in an enterprise class network environment which includes multiple LAN & WAN location experience, multiple internet provider interconnections, data centers, high speed links, and networks with VLAN separation. Experience working for an ISP a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

University/College degree (AA, BA, BS) required 3 plus years or more of relevant work experience working on enterprise class equipment. Certification(s) as a CCIE or CCNP within the areas of Enterprise,
Security and/or Service Provider and hands on work experience within a Data Center, ISP, Education, Telecom environment is preferred or some level of relevant work experience. Competency with testing tools and procedures for voice and data circuits, packet capturing, and protocol analysis experience is a plus. Or Seven (7) plus years of excellent working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and network services and software handling enterprise type servers, routers, switches, firewalls and wireless AP technology like VM Ware, Meraki, Aruba, Cisco, Juniper, class tools, all ISR router platforms with related interface cards, TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP, STP, PBR, VRF, MLPP, SNMP, MPLS and related protocols.

RESPONSIBILITY INTERNAL:

Directs subordinates and peers in CCU network related activities related to Utility SCADA, internal, anchor institution, and ISP network services. Provides services to Clarksville anchor institutions which have a need for IT networking expertise and have authorized a formal agreement with CCU for services related to network administration, cybersecurity system support, network bandwidth and other high level technical IT needs. Anchor Institutions may include: Clarksville School District, University of the Ozarks, Johnson Regional Medical Center, Johnson County Government, Clarksville City Government

EXTERNAL:
Assists/Supports CCU large broadband network customers related to network administration, cybersecurity system, network bandwidth, and other fiber/broadband related technical needs. Interfaces with entities by contract that support the CCU network related to functions including but not limited to Help Desk services, back up Layer 3 IT services, state and federal agencies and various outside contacts that provide services to CCU. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The following physical activities described here are representative of those necessary to the essential functions of this position. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS Work environment is representative of both a standard office setting where noise levels are usually moderate, and that of a vehicle maintenance shop setting which is exposed to moderate to loud noise levels, dust, dirt, chemicals, and outdoor pests.

DETAILED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

‘Support Services Manager’ shall perform the duties required as a department manager including but not limited to:

TASKS

 Participation with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links within their purview and a priority.
 Involvement with the development, implementation and continual improvement of network service delivery while building community fiber optic network.  Implement, manage, and provision firewall, cybersecurity tools, resources and network systems and software solutions.
 Recommending and vetting new products and services, as well as maintain a general knowledge of emergent network technologies that are applicable to the continued growth and well-being of the enterprise.
 Building and nurturing an IT team to help group in managing complex projects, team workloads to drive efficiency and effectiveness.  Collaborating with management and department leaders to assess near and long-term network capacity needs.
 Assist Anchor organizations in reviewing and providing recommendations for improvement/enhancement to the network setup  Train Anchor organizations IT staff in the maintenance and repair of the network  Assist Anchor organizations IT staff in troubleshooting network issues as needed  Creating and maintaining documentation as it relates to network configuration, network topological diagraming and mapping of both LANs and WAN, and network related processes, and services.  Developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery.  Overseeing new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.  Ensuring network connectivity of all network connected appliances such as servers, workstations, telephony equipment, fax machines, etc.
 Perform security audits, and system backups and recovery of network infrastructure.  Manage and direct 1 to 3 employees performing an array of varied tasks.  Resolves customer issues (independently and as a team); willingly assists other staff members with projects as needed.  Provide back up for other positions when needed.  Manage the Companies including installation and operation of that equipment.
 Support the maintenance of the Companies SCADA system, phone, video security and fire alarm systems.  Negotiate various service contracts and service level agreements for the Company.
 Performs all other duties as assigned by the GM.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
