Johnson Service Group (JSG) is an engineering staffing firm and Tier 1 vendor for the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). We are recruiting for an experienced,
Nuclear Project Manager, to support planning, scoping, and estimating of the Clinch River Small Modular Reactor Project in Oak Ridge, TN. Project work will be based out of the downtown Chattanooga office.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Target start date: 01/16/23
W2 Hourly Pay Rate: (time and a half for overtime)
Duration: 12 - 24 months
Hours: 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday

Responsibilities:
- The Senior Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for each project.
- Manages the project to ensure safety, environmental, quality, budget, and schedule goals are met.
- Leads the Joint Project Team (JPT) and other stakeholders by applying project management professional principles, practices, and techniques.
- Leads the JPT to control project scope, schedule, cost, and performance risks to ensure project is completed within a certain set of restraints (e.g., time, budget, people, quality, materials) and a high level of quality.
- Successful project outcomes are achieved through collaboration, negotiation, and influencing of assigned project teams, as well as internal and external stakeholders, over whom the Senior Project Manager may have no formal authority.
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, business management, or technical field, or equivalent education, training and/or related work experience.
- 10+ years utility project manager experience, or equivalent functional area work experience
- 3+ years with increased responsibilities leading project teams.
- Requires knowledge of project management techniques, experience to resolve in-depth problems, and practical experience in project scoping and cost estimating.
- Requires ability to analyze in-depth technical problems and determine the most cost-effective solution.
- Experience in new nuclear power plant design, construction, and/or licensing is desirable.
- Project Management Institute (PMI) certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) is desired.
