We are seeking a meticulous, flexible, and friendly investment professional who is comfortable working under pressure in a dynamic, everchanging environment. We seek someone who is interested in joining the portfolio strategist team as we continue to process our integration work from our merger with Iberia bank and as we prepare for our pending acquisition by TD bank. The Senior Portfolio Strategist oversees the administration and investment management of trust assets. The position reports to the local Trust Manager and the Wealth Management Director of Research.
Key Responsibilities Include
o Coordinate all portfolio activity with the account relationship managers: Trust Officers, Financial Advisors, and Private Client Bankers
o Trading and rebalancing portfolios consisting of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and ETFs
o Conducting bank trust department investment reviews (Reg 9 reviews)
o Develop investment rebalancing plans, including potential realized gain/loss analysis, to transition all legacy Iberia portfolios to First Horizon asset allocation models
o Generate performance reports for relationship managers
o Coordinate with 3rd party vendor to answer account related questions for clients and relationship managers
o Meet with clients and prospects to deliver financial market updates, portfolio performance reviews, and financial planning
o Work with clients and prospects to determine overall risk tolerance and develop appropriate asset allocations and investment policy statements
o Portfolio Strategist representative to the working groups responsible for reviewing and approving Investment Risk Questionnaires and Investment Policy Statements
Qualifications Include
- CFA charterholder, or Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Series 65, or Series 66 required
- 10 years investment management industry experience,
- 5 years portfolio manager or strategist experience,
- Experience presenting financial market updates and portfolio performance presentations to clients and prospects
- Experience conducting due diligence on mutual funds and ETFs
- Experience trading and rebalancing portfolios of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and ETFs
- Very comfortable modeling in Microsoft Excel
- Experience conducting investment reviews (Reg 9) in a bank trust department
- Experience trading using Advent MOXY preferred
- Experience with alternative investments preferred
