We are hiring Senior Project Engineers in multiple offices!

BKF Engineers has an immediate need for senior-level civil engineers with strong technical abilities, and experience in Land Development projects across a multitude of disciplines. We are looking for individuals who can independently apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using their experience and judgment. Good communication skills. Ability to plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate all technical work for small to major projects. Provide input to the Project Managers in preparing current project status for informing clients on progress and internal reporting. Supervise/coordinate and support the Team of Engineers, Drafters, Technicians, and others who assist in specific tasks. Assist in Quality Control on your projects. AutoCAD and Civil 3D mastery required.

Responsibilities:

• Project Design for Site Development
• Grading and Drainage Plans
• Utility Systems for Water and Sewer
• Report Preparation and Master Planning Studies, preparation of specifications and cost estimates
• Project Management Assistance: Budgeting, Schedules, Client Care, Invoicing
• Design Team collaboration, and support
• Roadway/Streets final design package – Plan, Profile, Cross Sections
• Roadway Design: Streetscape, Green Streets, Bicycle Path Plans
• Federal, State, City, and County Standards
• Report Preparation and Conceptual Studies
• preparation of Specifications and Quantity Takeoffs/Cost Estimates
• Projects include residential, commercial, mixed-use, and public works projects

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in site development, design of residential and/or commercial subdivisions, utility systems, and roadways
• B.S in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET Accredited Curriculum or equivalent required
• Professional Engineering license in the State of California is highly preferred
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D mastery required
