About the Role:
The position is responsible for the management of all project engineers and will provide technical and administrative support for multiple new building commissioning, energy efficiency, and retro-commissioning projects simultaneously. You will be involved in all aspects of each project including technical support, deliverable development, scheduling, budget management and client relationship management. This position reports directly to the company president.

Responsibilities
Management Responsibilities
- Manage, Lead & Mentor Commissioning & Energy Engineers
- Manage Team Operations, Deadlines, Project Deliverables, Project On-Boarding, Scheduling & Closeout.
- Support in Business Development, Lead Generation & Proposal Development
- Client management and communication
- Communication with other staff including Engineers and Administration Staff
- Support in management of Company Policies, Procedures & Reporting
- Project Deliverable Quality Assurance
- Manage various New Commissioning & Retro-Commissioning Projects
- Responsible for personal time management
- Planning for project activities and keeping accurate records
- Technical report writing and editing.
- Client management and communication
- Communication with other staff including Engineers and Administration Staff
New Construction Commissioning Projects - Oversight
- Develop Commissioning Plans, Specifications, Commissioning Testing Procedures
- Attend and Lead Commissioning meetings
- Perform design reviews at various stages of design development.
- Review and confirm Basis of Design (BOD) and Owner Project Requirements (OPR)
- Perform Contractor Submittals reviews
- Perform field inspections and develop Site Reports.
- Witness Equipment startups, test and balance activities, and functional performance tests
- Prepare commissioning reports and maintain commissioning issues lists.
- Responsible for the technical quality, accuracy on multiple commissioning projects
- Technical report writing and editing.
- Client management and communication
Energy Auditing & Retro-Commissioning Projects - Oversight
- Travel to sites to perform surveys and audits.
- Develop Detailed Energy Savings Calculations and Energy Auditing Reports
- Perform Measurement & Verification of Energy Efficiency Projects
- Prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings.
- Manage the planning, investigation, and implementation phases of Retro-Commissioning Projects
- Identify and implement low-cost energy conservation opportunities, and help facilitate the implementation of projects, initiatives, and programs that reduce energy consumption and demand.
- Manage Subcontracted Energy Efficiency Projects
- Work with electric and gas utility incentive programs
- Manage client relationships; internally across MD/DC/VA and externally
- Assist with process improvement, group operations and overall growth of the group.
Qualifications
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in managing employees.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Minimum three (3) years of industry experience in Building Commissioning, Energy Auditing or MEP Design
- PE License Preferred
Commissioning Certification: a NEBB qualified Systems Commissioning Administrator (SCA);ACG Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA); ICB/TABB Certified Commissioning Supervisor; BCA Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP);AEE Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP); University of Wisconsin-Madison Qualified Commissioning Process Provider (QCxP); ASHRAE Commissioning Process Management Professional (CPMP)

Based on experience, salary is $100.000 to $120,000.
