POSITION SUMMARY

TRC is seeking aSenior Project Manager join our Austin, Texas Engineering, Construction, and Remediation team. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual and is a results-oriented leader who works with stakeholders to understand project needs and manages teams to deliver services to meet those requirements. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for networking with clients to identify and define projects, developing and negotiating proposals, building teams of technical staff and sub-consultants to execute work, leading the technical aspects of projects, maintaining quality and risk management processes to keep work on track, and delivering according to scope, schedule, and budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of environmental remediation projects, environmental assessments, compliance assessments, report preparation, feasibility studies, task management, and subcontractor oversight.
  • Understanding of chemicals of concern in environmental remediation.
  • Review and prepare proposals and statements of qualifications.
  • Work to cross-sell TRC services and increase business from existing accounts.
  • Create and execute project work plans and staffing plans.
  • Manage project risk by understanding and following risk management procedures.
  • Proficient implementation of TRC's Health & Safety Program and Quality Management Plan.
Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • Twenty years of experience with an environmental consulting/engineering firm that has project experience in environmental investigations, remediation, environmental compliance, due diligence, and other environmental matters.
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in geology, environmental sciences, engineering, or related field of study from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of five years of demonstrated success in program and client management.
  • Working knowledge of environmental regulations (RCRA, NPDES, CERCLA, etc.) and Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma regulatory agencies (TCEQ, RRC, NMED, NMOCD, DEQ).
  • Ability to interface well with and develop a positive relationship with our clients and employees.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER health and safety training certificate.
  • Some travel required.
