Senior Quality Engineer Job at BRP

We are looking for a Sr. Quality Engineer who will report to the Quality Manager, and who’ll be tasked with facilitating and maintaining quality of our Alumacraft Production Si te. As part of your role, you’ll be revising and creating systems to drive consistency.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Work with the Quality Manager to determine priorities on Systemic opportunities.
  • Evaluate current systems, investigate the process, and interview Alumacraft employees to come up with improvement ideas.
  • Work on improvement activities for dealer and End user complaints.
  • Assist Quality Tech’s when their projects stall and need a boost to get them completed.
  • CAPA system will be managed by the Quality Engineer and responsible for reporting system performance.
  • Get involved in problematic Supplier issues that are not improving.
  • Review internal drawings and specifications for answering questions in production
  • Resource for QA Inspectors and Quality Techs when they need assistants.
  • Train new QA Inspectors with Quality Techs

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Required:

  • 6 + years experience in Quality in a manufacturing environment if there is no degree
  • Experience with basic measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Proficient in interrupting prints or specifications
  • Lead a group in a team environment
  • Able to coach, mentor others, explain tasks or modifications to the task
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred:

  • Engineering degree or related field
  • Previous quality management experience such as ISO 9001.
  • Experience with calibration
