OVERVIEW:
Within a matrix management, under minimal supervision, analyze and support implementation of business processes in the context of best practice. Serve as an internal consultant and assist business users in defining requirements relative to process and system needs. Plan new and configure, test, train, implement and monitor both existing and new enterprise applications in support of user requirements and company goals.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Analyze business processes and user requirements; Communicate business needs to subject matter experts on behalf of the users.
• Develop business systems and application requirements and specifications according to business requirements. Propose changes to system features and functions and related business processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of company operations.
• Develop detailed project plans, organize resources, manage budgets & tasks and provide project status reports.
• Creates project charts and obtains regular updates from project team members.
• Ensures timely issue resolution and appropriate issue escalation.
• Ensures appropriate priorities are assigned to critical project tasks.
• Manages timely meetings between functional areas, to ensure project timelines are being met.
• Plans and arranges management reviews with concise project updates.
• Manage relationships and communication between business users, IT, external vendors, and consultants.
• Coordinate testing of system enhancements, features and new functionality utilizing rigorous integration and regression methodology.
• Act as Change Management Champion employing strict Change Management methodology in implementing solutions.
• Provide expertise and guidance to project team members to deliver high quality solutions and ensure compliance with technical standards.
• Lead documentation efforts by preparing technical and user documentation including business process flow, training and testing of business systems and applications.
• Conduct periodic staff training on a formal and informal basis to cross-train global team members in an effort to strengthen the teams’ knowledge and abilities to support the business.
• Provide support to end-users for various business systems and applications within the SAP environment.
• Conduct troubleshooting activities to isolate and correct simple to complex system malfunctions or challenges users’ face following processes and performing transactions.
• Assist with SAP and other system implementations and rollouts.
• Lead data conversion and cleanup efforts.
• Assist management in planning future business systems improvements.
• Actively supports Pelican’s commitment to Quality and Safety, with an emphasis on continual improvement.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• B.S. in Business or related field preferred with 3+ years of demonstrated hands on experience in SAP with Core functionality (ex: MM, PP, SD, etc).
• Strong SAP process knowledge required to implement best practice solutions and deliver high quality custom enhancements.
• 3+ years’ experience managing system application projects.
• 3+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Ability to manage user expectations and provide routine feedback on the status of project requests.
• Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Ability to set targets, provide estimates and meet commitments and adjust to changing priorities.
• Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must have the ability to prioritize projects based on sound business judgment.
• Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Outlook and other appropriate computer software programs.
• Must be flexible with work schedules and be available to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
• Ability to travel up to 35% of time both nationally and internationally as needed.
• Must be available to work onsite at South Deerfield, MA. This is not a remote role.
