Senior Services Staffing Technician Job at Benefis Health System
The Staffing Technician assists the Senior Care Managers in maintaining calculated daily staffing levels. Utilizes computerized database to maintain accurate records and access personnel and schedules. Works collaboratively as needed with the System’s Patient Flow Specialist to determine organizational staffing needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides timely and accurate communication of information to and from unit staff and managers to provide adequate staffing for assigned time frames.
Collaborates with the Senior Care Unit Manger or designee for computer data and reports to ensure appropriate staffing for their assigned units.
Utilizes correct protocol for call-in or call off staff.
Utilizes the Windows based scheduling system to access a list of nursing staff for possible calling to staff unit identified needing an increase staffing level. S
Performs daily routines of staffing office. Including active participation in the scheduled Staffing Council Meetings.
Identifies staffing office processes consistently and accurately utilizing Senor Care Policies and Standards specified by CMS.
Works closely with Managers and others to maintain effective and quality staffing levels on the units.
Update schedules, staffing sheets and the computer software staffing schedules when schedules changes are received from the nurse managers.
Assists with special projects as assigned including Process Improvement Projects.
Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations.
Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.

Maintains regulatory requirements.
Wears identification while on duty.
Maintains confidentiality at all times.
Attends department staff meetings as required within the department.
Reports to work on time and as scheduled; completes work in designated time.
Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner.
Actively participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
Coordinates efforts in meeting regulatory compliance, federal, state and local regulations and standards
Communicates and complies with the Benefis Health System Mission, Vision and Values as well as the focus statement of the department.
Complies with Benefis Health System Organization Policies and Procedures.
Complies with Health and Safety Standards and Guidelines.
Education/Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience in staffing, ward secretary or CNA preferred.
Experience with computer systems preferred.
Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred.
