Come be a part of an amazing team working on flight dynamics, modeling, and simulator development for the Dream Chaser Spacecraft! In this role, you will be directly responsible for developing models and working with a team that will send missions to the International Space Station and beyond. The products you develop and integrate will not only go to space, they will help shape the future of Spaceflight.
This position supports Dream Chaser Flight Dynamics Modeling and Simulation development through the following:
Design and Implement complex and mission critical Simulation Software.- Develop and execute comprehensive tests at the Unit, Integrated, and functional level to ensure compliance to requirements and adherence to design.
- Integrate various software units, components and data products to ensure a robust software system.
- Develop Software Documentation including but not limited to: Software Requirements Specification, Software Design Descriptions, Software User Guides, Software Test Plans and Software Test Descriptions.
- Coordinate and collaborate across multi-discipline/multi-organizational teams to understand key aspects of various subsystems, safety requirements and operational requirements.
- Work products through Agile Scrum teams ensuring accountability and that commitments are met.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
- Experience with: C++, MATLAB, Python, Linux
- Experience writing test cases and test scripts
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to recognize and actively improve inefficiencies in software development
- Experience with Simulation modeling development and verification
- Experience with spacecraft/aircraft flight modeling design, development, and test
- US Citizenship
Desired Skills:
- Previous experience with large Space Design Programs or Space Flight Operations.
- Agile development methods and scrum experience
- Experience with software development standards

We also work on classified programs.
