Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle
As NFM’s Store Merchandising Manager you will be responsible for setting the direction for merchandising and display teams of assigned location. Collaborates with regional cross-functional leadership teams to achieve customer experience, service, sales, and expense control goals.
Job Duties: A Day in the Life
- Collaborate: with Buying, Store Design, Visual Display and Executive Leadership on new product launches and showroom update projects
- Lead: mentor and support Store Merchandising Managers, Display Managers, Assistant Merchandising Managers, Display Supervisors and front-line merchandising and display staff
- Oversee: the interviewing and hiring of merchandising and display managers and staff and development of the merchandising and display teams.
- Align: Merchandising and Display teams to execute and maintain an exceptional customer experience and merchandise presentation to ensure consistency with company vision
- Manage: Oversees all product movement processes within Merchandising
- Develop: Lead the merchandising and Display teams for processes, systems, and training with a focus on continuous improvement
- Facilitate: communication from Home Office to store merchandising, display and visual teams on all pertinent information that relates to current direction and/or opportunities to drive business within the retail stores
- Bachelor’s degree in merchandising, business, related field or equivalent experience required
- 7 years of merchandising experience, preferably across multiple categories including furniture, electronics, appliances, etc.
- 7 years of supervisory/management experience
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
- Travel required. Valid driver’s license and ongoing acceptable driving record
- Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, criminal background check
