Job Description Summary
The Sr. Systems Architect will solution for problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors, demonstrate good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions, understand and speak to all aspects of the software development life cycle (requirements, analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation). Demonstrate mastery of technical awareness, depth and use of technology across the business. Drive evolution of best practices, standards and policies as related to software development.

Job Description Responsibilities
  • Orchestrate the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of applications that support day-to-day operations.
  • Architects, design, and develop Enterprise solutions, which includes Linux-based OS, PitBull, Web, Database, Client Applications and secure Enterprise Networks products and services.
  • Provide innovative solutions to complex business/customer problems.
  • Work with product and engineering teams to understand the tradeoffs of potential solutions and how they fit into product roadmaps.
  • Plan, develop, and implement large scale projects from conception to completion.
  • Develop and architect lifecycle of projects working on different technologies and platforms.
  • Interface with clients and gather business requirements and objectives. Translate business requirements/objectives into technical applications and solutions.
  • Solutions are backed by in-depth analysis of data, industry case studies, academic research, and/or best practices for utilizing 3rd-party tools.
  • Capture current and future state architecture and roadmap of capability delivery.
  • Regular customer and leadership facing engagement on architecture and design.
  • Understand and evaluate complex data models.
  • Provide consultation to product/engineering teams and stakeholders on business processes and existing system functionality in order to ensure technical and business aspects of solutions are aligned to the proposed value.
  • Design, develop and implement integration processes.
  • Provide solutions to improvise performance and scalability of systems.
  • Utilizes industry best practices for root cause analysis of Enterprise architecture, design, or configuration failures.
  • Responsible for resolution of significant and diverse problems and issues of broad scope and complexity
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Exercise creative and innovative thinking to advance business performance and mature our Enterprise with best practices
  • Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customers changing business needs/requirements
  • Follow industry trends and developments to ensure General Dynamics Mission Systems services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices
  • Work with Vendors as needed
Qualifications
  • DevSecOps experience preferred
  • Substantial use, understanding and tailoring of systems engineering concepts, principles and theories
  • Substantial proficiency with requirements management & system modeling tools
  • Ability to recognize various architectural patterns, apply them appropriately, understand strengths/weaknesses within those architectures and develop architectural variations as necessary
  • Well versed in IT government security accreditation standards
  • Strong ability to elicit requirements from both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong background in designing secure Enterprise networks and service structures.
  • Strong ability to be creative, innovative and responsible, and able to master advanced decision-making skills
  • Detailed and very strong knowledge of technology trends and champions new ideas and product and process improvements
  • Strong ability to excel at the development of new theories and methods
  • Strong ability to grasp and apply new information quickly
  • Shows initiative on assignments, and professionally executes projects as a technical SME and leader with little or no direction
  • Knowledge of ACAS, HBSS, MFA, SPLUNK, and RMF strongly desired
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP) and other related certifications are highly desire

Salary Note: This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. Combined Salary Range: USD $129,500.00 - USD $143,700.00 /Yr. Company Overview:
