Job Overview:
PIXO VR is searching for a Sr Producer to join our team. The Sr Producer will work within our VR Studio to support and manage the creation of VR training content for PIXO customers. The Sr Producer will be integral in organizing processes from discovery to project launch and acceptance. The Sr Producer will work closely with customers, subject matter experts, design, development, art, and QA to oversee the project being delivered on-time, within budget and ensuring a quality product is delivered to the customer. The Sr Producer must be able to communicate well within the dev teams and with internal and external stakeholders. The Sr Producer must be able to manage multiple projects concurrently. Previous experience in game development, VR development and/or offshore development is preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of PIXO VR content development projects with multiple onshore and offshore development teams.
- Identify potential timeline and resourcing constraints and develop risk mitigation techniques to minimize issues.
- Foster a data-driven culture that emphasizes continuous testing and development using product development lifecycle methodologies.
- Working with Customer Success to be the production team’s point of contact for the customers, including leading production related meetings and production related client communications.
- Lead and own the entire project process for internal and external stakeholders; from discovery, through production, testing/QA, client demos and reviews, launch and post launch roadmap.
- Own the schedule, work with production teams to forecast time and resources needed to see the project through completion.
- Build and maintain project plans, schedules, and roadmaps considering dependencies across multiple development teams to ensure successful release.
- Create cost estimates and actualize project costs.
- Communicate often and openly, provide transparency on project status and risk to stakeholders and project team members in order to ensure they are properly informed of any impacts from upcoming releases.
- Meet with project team members regularly to coordinate priorities and identify blockers.
- Manage project scope and budget, identify and actively manage scope creep and manage customers expectations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience working in a production role where you have managed cross-functional teams in the creation and delivery of complex projects.
- Deep understanding of game development, software development process, and project management practices preferred.
- Experience working with subscription products or services and/or learning applications a plus.
- Excellent communicator to the management team and customers; able to adapt communication styles across audience and stakeholder groups.
- Experience managing project financial health, preferably across a portfolio of projects/products.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude. Preferred experience with development programming or game development.
- Experience with problem solving and identifying risk proactively.
- Self-starter, approaching challenges creatively and methodically, seeing them through final resolution.
- Proven ability to communicate with varying levels of stakeholders, within your team and throughout the company.
- Proven ability to adapt and be effective in new situations within a highly dynamic environment.
- Experience managing remote and offshore teams preferred.
