Nitehawk servers work in a very high paced and high volume environment, while meeting service goals and ensuring a quality experience at Nitehawk for co-workers and guests. All staff members contribute to Nitehawk Cinema as the premier dinner and movie destination in NYC.


Shift Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for daily side work tasks (opening, ongoing, and closing tasks). Keep work stations fully stocked, organized, and clean. Adhere to DOH Guidelines
  • Greet guests and check tickets, ensuring they are in the correct theater, movie, and seat
  • Assist guests with ordering. Able to answer questions about service and F&B details: Ingredients and possible allergens.
  • Take orders, enter all flags, and ensure that guests receive all ordered items correctly
  • Work in an efficient manner that minimizes service errors and comps
  • Manage and closes out guests’ checks properly with no errors
  • Notify Lead Server or MOD for any necessary discounts and adjustments
  • Assist other theaters and coworkers, and assess service needs throughout the building. Be able to move theater assignments throughout a shift with ease
  • Monitor theaters for any disturbances and alert the MOD of any issues
  • Responsible for updating menus (weekly and seasonal) - (fulltime)


Employment requirements:
  • Arrive on time and ready to work at your scheduled in-time. Be in proper uniform.
  • Attend all mandatory staff meetings.
  • Responsible for retaining and implementing information included in staff emails.
  • Adhere to all Nitehawk policies and maintain professionalism at all times.
  • Prioritize service and guest experience. Support co-workers to assure smooth service.
  • Must maintain extensive food and beverage menu knowledge
  • Must have extensive POS knowledge and understanding.
  • Must have the ability to work on your feet for long periods of time, carry and lift items up to 50 lbs and be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift items.


Scheduling requirements:
Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Holiday schedules may vary from usual schedules and you are not to assume days off on holiday weeks. Schedules will be posted in advance. You are responsible for posted schedules and to find coverage for shifts you are unable to work. Working Holidays throughout the year is necessary, and winter holidays will have altered schedules for the last 2 weeks of the year. Hours are not guaranteed and will fluctuate depending on business levels.
  • Part time - must have weekend availability and work regularly on Saturdays.

Full-time - Must be able to work at least 2 weekend shifts (Fri - Sun), 2 weekday (Mon - Thu) shifts. Must maintain an average monthly work period of 120 working hours, as well as the necessary skill set to to perform well in this position.
