Summary

The Bartender/Server is integral to the guest experience, providing food and beverage services (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to the guests and residents of the Sun City Summerlin Community. The person in this position will serve food and beverages between the various restaurant/snack bar and golf course locations, providing a high-quality service-oriented environment.

Description of Duties

• Maintain a professional appearance at all times according to restaurant and golf course dress code
• Driving the beverage cart to different areas on the golf course to service food and beverage to guest
• Serving food and alcoholic beverages to customers at the different restaurants/snack bars as needed
• Stock beverage carts to par levels each day of use
• Operate POS, handle cash, and credit card charges according to procedures.
• Communicate effectively with peers, management, line, front and back of the house employees
• Ensure that all customers are greeted in a timely, friendly, and professional manner
• Assist in upkeep of the restaurants/snack bars and golf course as needed i.e. tables/trash
• Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to operate computerized/electronic cash register and credit card system
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
• Knowledge of and ability to safely operate a motorized beverage cart using proper golf etiquette
• Must have friendly personality and enjoy working with the public
• Must have strong skills in Customer Service
• Must be dependable
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours during golf and holiday season

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must possess all applicable food handling and liquor clearance according to Nevada state law
• Previous experience as a Bartender/Server a must & Beverage Cart Attendant preferred

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Physical demands:

While performing the required duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with arms and hands. The employee often is required to walk, stand, drive, bend, talk or hear, handle, feel or operate objects. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 35lbs occasionally.

The employee will occasionally be required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception.

• Work environment:

Moderate exposure to extreme cold, heat, working outdoors, mechanical hazard and electrical hazards.

Exposure to pollens and dust. Noise level is moderately quiet.

Pay: From $10.50 per hour
