Position: Journeyman Service Technician

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: WEEKLY PAY

Payrate: $18.00-$22.00 D.O.E

Schedule: 10hr-8hr shifts

Description of work:

• Perform on-site repairs at customer locations throughout Lenoir on waste and recycling equipment.
• Correctly identify parts needed to repair units on one trip whenever possible.
• Fabricate replacement hoses and fittings when needed.
• Replace hydraulic cylinders when needed.
• Fabricate steel components when needed.
• Complete all required paperwork.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Experience in electrical (schematics/prints), hydraulics, and welding/fabricating.
• MIG welding experience, plasma cutter, and cutting torch.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Clean driving record (no tickets in excess of 10 mph over speed limit, no dui/dwi, no reckless driving).
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
• Ability to troubleshoot and assemble electric circuit boards.
• Must have good attendance.
• Able to travel, with little notice and to stay overnight 1-2 nights per week.
• PLC experience, ability to program preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires lifting, pushing, pulling up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to stand and bend for extended periods of time.
