We are seeking a ServiceNow Product Owner who is passionate about solving business through innovation and engineering practices and will play a key role in Ally’s Enterprise Technology transformation. You will manage the ServiceNow platform, overseeing significant technology delivery projects that meet business needs and satisfy risk and operational requirements of the Tech organization.

This ServiceNow Product Owner will identify and resolve complex technical, operational, risk management, and organizational challenges for Enterprise Technology. The right candidate will be able to leverage emerging technologies and automation to improve business efficiencies, enhance speed-to-market of solution delivery, and support business and enterprise transformation and optimization.

The Work Itself

  • Own the strategy and execution for maximizing Ally’s investment in the ServiceNow platform
  • Oversee the planning, design, engineering, testing and deployment of platform enhancement and improvement projects in conjunction with a variety of resources and processes
  • Leads in the development and implementation of technological roadmaps and ensures alignment with the overall Technology strategic plan
  • Serve as a trusted adviser to technology leaders and business stakeholders, ensuring services meet their needs, and respond with agility to address changing business priorities
  • Develop departmental plans, including business, financial, production and/or organizational priorities based on technology and focuses on long-term operations planning and performance, and broader business objectives and priorities
  • Apply an in-depth understanding of systems engineering and administration and a basic understanding of other IT disciplines in guiding and coaching team members
  • Adapt plans to meet service and/or operational challenges. Identifies and resolves technical, operational, risk management, and organizational challenges.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders across Ally lines of business, both cross-function and cross-business, and influence the direction and success of Enterprise Technology
  • Maintain appropriate Risk Profile, proactively identifying risks, and implementing the necessary mitigations where warranted. Partner effectively with internal Risk and Audit teams ensure risk is identified and mitigated appropriately.

The Skills You Bring

  • Demonstrated technical acumen; elevated knowledge of ServiceNow capabilities and offerings
  • Ability to navigate technology, architectural and software development considerations at a high-level
  • Experience working in an agile environment, with teams building and supporting operational, risk and business processes
  • Proven ability to deploy and sustain technology solutions
  • 5+ years of experience in the Banking or Financial Service industries with experience in ServiceNow
  • Broad and in-depth knowledge of technology trends, competitive environment, regulatory requirements and trends, and technology strategies employed to continually meet the demands of the Ally business and regulators
  • Ability to translate enterprise level strategic planning information into software and data management needs, create business plans, and turn them into effective business solutions
  • Executive level communications skills, including strong facilitation/presentation skills and experience negotiating with vendors for relevant products and services
  • Ability to lead projects of significant complexity and risk exposure, particularly with enterprise-wide implications
  • Ability to exercise judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of complex business objectives and priorities
