Our personal injury law firm, located in the Oak Lawn area of Dallas, is seeking a Closing Legal Assistant. The Closing Legal Assistant is part of an attorney-led team in our pre-litigation department and is primarily responsible for processing and closing out the case once a settlement is achieved. This position is a hybrid operational and customer service role. Operationally, this position is responsible for: coordinating with the attorney and paralegal regarding structure of the settlement; communicating with insurance adjusters to obtain payment; communicating with and resolving lien interests and providers’ medical bills; and other administrative tasks necessary to conclude the file for the client. From a customer service role, this position is responsible for: interfacing with the client concerning the status of closing; delivering a 5-star experience to the client; and asking for and obtaining social media reviews and recommendations of the firm from clients. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not required.
This position is part of a fast-paced team environment. Candidates should be energetic, outgoing, collaborative, and ready to bring the ROAR to Thompson Law – the Lion Law Firm – clients.
