Dock Coordinator 2nd Shift

The overall purpose of this position is to ensure accurate and on-time shipping of outbound packages. The schedule/hours for this position are Sundays 1pm-finish, Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-finish. Additional days/hours or adjustment to daily start time may change due to holiday or additional workload.

Essential Functions:

• Audit package tracking scans on a continuous cycle throughout the shift to ensure packages are being accurately sorted by required date and distribution center.
• Monitor the status of shipping labels to ensure all items are properly scanned to outbound skids and shipments.
• Identify orphaned labels and potential scanning errors within the package tracking screens and communicate issues to leadership team.
• Ensure work flow is being prioritized by distribution center in sequence of line haul departure time goals
• Work alongside material handling, equipment operators and leadership team to ensure linehaul departure times are met.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a warehouse and cooler environment (34 degrees). The employee will utilize warehouse equipment such as Pallet Jacks, RF scanners, box cutters, and pallet-wrapping equipment.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and read. This position is very active and requires standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching and operating equipment. The employee must frequently lift/and or move items up to 50 pounds. The employee will also wear and use a scanning device on their wrist. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
