ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:
Responsible for the overall condition and appearance of the facility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Listed below are the typical duties and responsibilities of this position. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
· Perform routine inspections to ensure quality of service.
· Follow recycling programs on campus.
· Conduct regular meetings with staff and management.
· Coordinate subcontractor projects
· Filling/data entry/maintain records
· Train and enforce safety and sanitation regulations according to law
· Read and analyze chart, work orders, schedules, and other records and reports to determine service
requirements.
· Confer with supervisors to coordinate and activities within or between shifts.
· Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and service requirement to meet service quality goals.
· Resolve worker problems, complaints and grievances
· Interpret specifications, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
· Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve service methods, equipment
performance, service quality and efficiency.
· Keep records of employees’ attendance and hours worked.
· Recommend or execute personnel actions such as evaluations, promotions, and terminations.
· Conduct safety and quality trainings, keep and track training records.
· Follow and enforce hazard communication program.
SUPERVISION:
Received by Employee: All higher levels of Operations management.
Exercised by Employee: Will exercise supervision and be responsible for maintenance workers and janitorial
staff.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent and one year of responsible experience in building and
mechanical equipment maintenance and repair; or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and
experience. Good skill in the use of hand and power tools.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and
decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret miscellaneous drawings and schematics.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk; or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or 50-75 pounds is required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception. Must wear safety attire when appropriate. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud.
