Shipping & Receiving
Follow all established safety and operational practices or Supervisor’s instruction as necessary to complete all job functions.
Duties:
1. Follow all current safety and PPE practices and policies.
2. Operate crane as needed.
3. Operate forklift trucks as needed.
4. Complete fork truck inspections as required.
5. Loading and unloading of trucks as needed.
6. Receive inbound material.
7. Prepare raw material for outbound shipments.
8. Prepare raw material to ensure safe transportation.
9. Package customer orders per written instruction and/or current practice for
outbound shipment.
10. Generate shipping content tickets.
11. Schedule carriers for pick up at facility.
12. Use of weigh scales as needed.
13. Change out batteries and/or fuel as necessary.
14. Provide service to floor operations to maintain machine productivity and
effectiveness.
15. Report material quality or quantity issues to Quality and/or Supervision.
16. Collect trash and dispose properly as necessary.
17. Collect and package scrap as necessary.
18. Practice good housekeeping. This will include, but not limited to, sweeping,
keeping work areas free of all clutter, and proper storage of all tools and other
work related items.
19. May be required to supply training to co-workers new to their position.
20. Follow Lock Out Tag Out procedure
Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Prior industrial experience preferred
- Basic Math skills
