Position Summary

The ideal Shipping & Receiving Clerk will thrive in a demanding environment. The candidate will take pride and ownership in their work. They must exhibit strong critical thinking skills and diligence. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email. Experience working in the A&D industry is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate has 1- 2 years of experience in shipping & receiving.

Skills and Responsibilities

• Knowledge of standard receiving skills to verify packing slips and accuracy of contents, perform visual inspections
• Determine method of shipment, prepare bills of laden, arrange pick-up and delivery
• Track and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments
• Demonstrate basic packaging skills such as part protection, confirm the accuracy of contents and shipping information, boxing, taping, wrapping, banding, and other packaging methods as needed
• Assemble wooden crates and cardboard containers for shipping
• Accepts or returns products according to company procedures
• Sorts and places company products and supplies in designated areas
• Maintain inventory of materials and supplies
• Operate forklift and other warehouse machinery as needed
• Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email
• Can work independently, be proactive, and have effective & clear communication with other departments
• Must have a valid Drivers License

Physical Requirements

• Walking, standing, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, etc. is required
• Ability to lift and/or move up to fifty pounds
• Work safely under functional guidelines such as PPE and equipment operation
• May be exposed to variable noise levels, fumes, hazardous chemicals, or airborne particles
