Shipping Supervisor Job at Cis Secure Computing Inc
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees and directs the daily activities of shipping team members
- Review daily shipping plans with warehouse manager and production managers
- Organizes and prioritizes workload to ensure all shipments are met daily, weekly & Monthly.
- Review daily manpower requirements and communicate if additional help is required.
- Ensure all shipping procedures and policies are adhered to, including weights and counts and all shipments are labeled with appropriate information.
- Trains shipping staff on proper procedures and processes, including all safety related activities
- Monitor the product packaging to ensure items are packed properly to avoid damage during shipping.
- Create shippers for both domestic and international shipments including the scanning serial numbers.
- Ensure licenses are requested for controlled tempest products prior to shipping internationally.
- Schedule transportation pickups and drop-offs; FedEx, UPS, USPS, KOL, etc.
- Update M1 with all pertinent shipping information
- Monitor shipping supplies and request additional stock when necessary.
- Ensures the shipping area is accessible, 5s and safe.
- Participates in post action activities to identify base cause issues and appropriate corrective actions
- Suggests updates and improvements to current processes and procedures to ensure compliance and maximum efficiency
- Produces daily/weekly/monthly reports as appropriate
This position may require exposure to information, which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications:
Must be a US person as defined by the US regulations:

- Any individual who is granted U.S. citizenship
- Any individual who is granted U.S. permanent residence (i.e., a "Green Card" holder)
- Any individual who is granted status as a "protected person"
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two years related experience and/or training
- Previous supervisory experience extremely helpful
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be proficient in basic computer skills
- Familiarity with manufacturing or warehouse software preferred
- Must be detail oriented
- Must have the ability to multitask and the ability to prioritize focus and efforts of the team
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent team player, with a focus on solutions first
- Working knowledge of ITAR Requirements strongly preferred
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Demonstrate effective customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility due to schedule changes and periodic weekend hours
- Willingness to work overtime, especially at the end of the month
