The Dayton Forging & Heat Treat Company is searching for a Machine Shop Supervisor to come join our family owned and operated team. This is an exciting “hands on” opportunity for an experienced CNC operator with leadership experience. We are looking for an experienced leader who can set up and properly inspect parts. Skills in set up and operation of CNC Turning Centers are required. The ideal candidate would have a working knowledge of CAM based programming, be a quick learner and enjoy working with people and leading a team. Current work schedule is 4-10 hour days with overtime on Friday.

CNC Lathe Supervisor Responsibilities:

· Create and encourage a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

· Train all lathe employees on how to properly load/operate machines, inspect parts – both visually and dimensionally, adjust offset to maintain part quality.

· Assign daily work and set machine schedules.

· Provide training and mentoring to department employees while developing personal growth.

· Handle employee issues in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy.

· Provide annual reviews to team members, along with 90 day reviews for new employees.

· Assist with disciplinary action when needed.

· Continuously work to facilitate process improvements and streamline processes.

· Ensure quality of all completed parts.

· Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action.

· Produce parts according to blueprints.

· Read and understand standard tolerances, as well as geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

· Willing to participate and assist with production when required.

CNC Lathe Supervisor Requirements:

· Excellent leadership skills. (3-5 years supervision experience a plus)

· Experience with setting up and operating jobs on manual and CNC lathes is a must. (5 – 10 Years operating manual and CNC lathes)

· Exceptional mechanical ability and strong mathematical skills.

· Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work collaboratively to solve complex problems.

· Ability to work with various internal and external points of contact to ensure efficiency of production and machines.

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
