Hiring Manager: Technical Manager, Optimal Pattern Correction Tech. Dept.

We are inviting excellent computational SW engineers and researchers to join an innovative and dynamic team, and help us deliver the next generation of computational technologies for Nano-patterning. You will play a key role in developing advanced numerical algorithms and software architectures, and deploying them on leading computational hardware in order to support our scientific and engineering objectives. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable with devising new methods on paper as with jumping onto the computer to bring them to life using modern software engineering techniques.

Responsibilities

• Understand multidisciplinary problems and derive the optimal solutions.
• Implement algorithms and evaluate performance. Perform data-driven statistical/analytical optimization and tuning.
• Develop hybrid ML models in a pipeline of physical simulation.
• Develop and maintain software following modern best practices.
• Work with related teams to bring our tools to production.
• Push the leading edge by researching and inventing new technologies.

Requirements:

• Ph.D. degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics and physics.
• Excellent programming skills in a high-level language such as C, C++, or Python.
• Bonus: experience with open-source software development, machine learning, signal processing, distributed computing, or GPUs.
• Self-driven and capable of focused, innovative, analytical work.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Pay Transparency Statement

At TSMC, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role typically pays a base salary between $93,000 and $173,000. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range. Factors that influence pay include the individual's skills, qualifications, education, experience and the position level and location.
