Position Summary:
Leader of financial team producing, analyzing, and reporting financial and operational metrics necessary for day-to-day operations of the Charleroi, PA manufacturing plant.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide all financial support for plant management and participate with site management team to deliver site safety, cost, quality, and production objectives
Perform period end, quarter end, year-end close responsibilities
Responsible for the analysis, reporting, and presentation of financial performance and key metrics (daily, weekly, monthly, ad hoc)
Responsible for proactively monitoring and identifying and quantifying financial variances and providing perspective on actions to mitigate unfavorable variances
Development of both operating and capital budgets and forecasts
Member of Site Senior Leadership teams including participation in Sr. Staff Meetings, Kaizen events, and Staffing meetings
Review and approve Account reconciliations along with implementing corrective actions when necessary
Develop and Maintain Operational Manuals as necessary
Complete Government reports as necessary
Provide support to corporate accounting in completing internal and external audit requests
Ensure proper internal controls are in place and functioning appropriately to protect company assets, including cycle counts, off site inventories, fixed asset inventories, etc.
Drive Process Improvements in site financial processes
Other Duties as assigned
Development of accounting staff and fostering financial awareness and understanding of key non-financial personnel
Review and approval of contracts, purchase requisitions, vendor invoices, product cost estimates, and process document changes
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business/Accounting Emphasis
5-7 years of experience in Accounting/Finance environment; Manufacturing/Distribution preferred
1+ year experience as a Plant Controller preferred
Work with Little Supervision
Strong work ethic, decision-making, and communication skills with all levels
Enhanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite and SAP
Leadership ability in groups of functional experts
Demonstrated attention to detail and strong analytical experience/quantitative skills
Willingness to work a non-traditional schedule when necessary
