General Description

Greenup Industries seeks a Site Safety and Health Manager for current and future open positions based in Southeast Louisiana. Under the oversight and support of anyone above the Superintendent, the Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) will be responsible for overall management of health and safety in support of the project team and any visitors.

Pre-Requisites

• A current OSHA 30 Certification

• Have taken an 8 hour refresher safety course within the last 12 months

• Have a Valid Driver's License

• Be able to remain Active in a random drug testing policy

• Be able to be insurable by the company's auto insurance policy

• Proof of employment for: five (5) years of continuous construction industry safety experience in supervising/ managing general construction (managing safety programs or processes or conducting hazard analyses and developing controls), or five (5) years of continuous general industry safety experience in supervising/ managing general industry (managing safety programs or processes or conducting hazard analyses and developing controls), or if the applicant has a third-party, Nationally Accredited (ANSI or National Commission or Certifying Agencies - NCCA) SOH-related certification, only 4 years experience is needed.

Essential Functions

• Maintaining complete awareness of applicable sections of the USACE Safety Manual for assigned projects

• Performing and documenting daily safety inspections as per USACE Safety Manual EM-385-1-1

• Developing the Accident Prevention Plan for assigned projects

• Development of task/activity-specific hazard analyses

• Monitoring field remediation operations for compliance with project Site Safety & Health Plans as well as Federal and State regulations and guidance

• Performing on-site training for personnel newly assigned to assigned projects

• Conducting daily tailgate safety briefings

• Performing supplemental safety training

• Maintaining required training for USACE projects

• Participating in Quality Control meetings and ensuring operational plans are safe

• Preparing daily health and safety reports

• Maintaining project health and safety records and data

• Responsible for enforcing and documentation compliance with any and all federal mandates around COVID19
