Sleep Technician (PRN) Job at HH Health System-Lincoln
Lincoln Medical Center is looking for an experienced Sleep Tech to join our Respiratory department in a PRN (as needed) position.
The basic purpose of this position is to perform, access, analyze and score sleep polysomnographic studies.
Essential Finctions:
- Under the general supervision of the Department Director, perform a wide variety of polysomnographic studies in the laboratory.
- Demonstrate positive interpersonal skills with patients, patient families, laboratory staff, physicians, and other members of the hospital staff.
- Apply EEG, EOG, EKG, and EMG electrodes in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Monitor patient throughout the night, observing cardiac rhythm and respiration abnormalities, along with attending to the personal needs of the patient throughout the night.
- Clean and maintain the equipment and testing room in an organized and sanitary fashion.
- Score polysomnographic record.
- Recognize abnormal sleep, respiratory and cardiac patterns.
- Possess the knowledge of appropriate actions to take during patient emergency situations and insure patient safety at all times.
- Log polysomnograms and fill out charge documents.

Sleep (Polysomnographic) Tech Qualifications and Skills:
- State of Tennessee (or eligible) as a Polysomnographic Technologist
- CPR certification required
- 2 years of experience required
- Excellent knowledge of all aspects of Polysomnography
