Role Overview

As a rapidly growing, VC-backed social enterprise, we are seeking an energetic, efficient, enterprising full-time Social Impact Manager to help successfully develop Social Accountability Standards and deploy Social Impact Projects in accordance with global benchmarks.

Social Impact Manager Responsibilities

  • Research & Deployment of Social Accountability Standards (SAS), code of conduct, audit, monitoring and verification protocol for rePurpose impact projects.
  • Lead formalisation efforts of informal actors and implement social compliance within rePurpose plastic recovery projects.
  • Building partnerships and a coalition of like-minded organisations within the social space such as NGOs, alliances of waste workers, academia and CSRs.
  • Manage the rePurpose Social Impact fund and project manage the implementation of SAS across all impact partners by developing methodology and SOPs.
  • Identify relevant auditing standards and liaison with internal & external stakeholders for project audits and certification
This Role is Perfect for You If...

You have exceptional project management and technical skills with previous experience of 3+ years in the social accountability industry, sectoral knowledge with local and global exposure on policy, legal compliance along with stakeholder management and a keen eye for detail. You have successfully created and implemented end-to-end protocol development, Project deployment, Auditing, Approval, Verification and Social certification. Build and deploy project management processes and lead teams towards collective goal fulfilment.

You have a nuanced understanding of the current Plastic or Waste management ecosystem with global exposure. You have developed a profound understanding of social and ethical challenges and solutions within the plastic waste value chain. And most importantly, you like to surround yourself with excellence by building high-quality impact projects with a talent-dense team.
