York Wallcovering/Brewster Home Fashions is seeking a Social Media Specialist to join our growing team!
The Social Media Specialist plays a key role in driving organic growth through the creation, implementation, and enhancement of the marketing content on York's digital platforms. The candidate will lead various marketing programs including email marketing, social media, influencer outreach, and blog programs to drive awareness of the York brand. They will work closely with our PR firm to deliver white glove service to editors, and influencers to build strong relationships through effective marketing communications and deliverables.
What's the average day of a Social Media Specialist look like:
- Lead social media marketing, which includes the creation of an email marketing calendar, posting, reporting, and monitoring.
- Ownership of customer experience on social channels by handling customers questions and issues, finding resolutions and solutions for customers, and connecting appropriate parties when needed
- Create a content strategy for all of York social sites, with the goal of earning organic traffic and ranking improvements
- Maintain and execute the company-wide email marketing calendar, which includes creating and sending regular emails to customers, distributors, and retailers
- Collaborate with licensed partners, designers, and influencers through social media, blog interviews, etc. to drive awareness
- Increase keyword rankings for top searched industry terms
- Assist in online opportunities to further promote the brand as necessary
- Act as a liaison between order processing, tracking and communication with PR firms and Influencers
- Build dashboards that track activity and analyze to determine new and evolving strategies
- 1+ years of experience in e-commerce and/or online marketing
- Ability to multi-task while being meticulous, detail oriented, and thorough.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high energy and a positive attitude
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with keen attention to detail
- Must have effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must have strong computer skills - proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required
- Experience managing social media networks including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and others.
- Experience with SEO, link building, Facebook Advertising, Adobe Creative Suite, a plus.
