Richmond County is seeking a Full-Time Social Worker Investigative/Assessment &Treatment (I/A&T) in the CPS unit for the Department of Social Services. OSP Reference: NC 35074 OSP

Description of Work: Conducts assessments/investigations of referrals of child abuse, neglect or dependency as assigned. Assists families in identifying problems. Provides case planning/case management services to families identified as services needed, or substantiated. Coordinates community and agency services for families such as in-home counseling and/or other supportive services to help child stay at home with their families. Petitions the court for removal of the child, if necessary. Provides public information about child abuse, neglect, and dependency as assigned. Will be responsible for on-call rotation as assigned.

Medicaid/MAC Duties (Specific)

Completes Medicaid work in the E&E system including Intake, Outputs, Customer Service (only for activities related to eligibility determination or on-going case maintenance), and Maintenance and routine update to the system (NC FAST). MAC Services for child cases - MAC activities are case management activities to assist individuals in accessing Medicaid Services under the North Carolina State Medicaid Plan.

Special Conditions: Must have a valid driver’s license and transportation. Requires occasional after-hours work.

Minimum Training and Experience: BSW and two years of social work experience; 4 year Human Services degree and 3 years social work experience; 4 year degree and 4 years directly related experience. Social Work Trainees will be considered.

Starting salary for SW I/A& T: $52,580.00
Salary for SW III: $50,176.00
Salary for SW II: $45,683
Salary for SW I: $37,865
