Key Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in big-data field: HDFS, Spark, SQL, Airflow, Kafka, batch & streaming.
- Proven track record designing, launching and scaling production quality data pipelines.
- Excellent knowledge of Scala or Java.
- Deep understanding of computer science fundamentals: complexity and data structures.
- Experience with critically important and high performance distributed systems.
- Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and proven ability to work in a multi-functional environment.
Description
This is a software engineering position. We write robust code, not just ad-hoc scripts. Our software process dozens of terabytes of data on daily basis. Our volumes are on a petabytes scale. Our jobs and applications must be efficient, scalable, and stable. Although we write software, data is our main product and first-class citizen. Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Engineering, Computer Science, and Business Information Systems. Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $115,000 and $217,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
