The Full Stack Software Engineer will be responsible for planning, coding, reviewing, and maintaining software that powers our service offerings. This position will involve development and delivery of software applications of varying complexity across multiple development platforms such as Salesforce, iOS, Android, Web, and related Cloud platforms. The Full Stack Software Engineer will leverage our CI/CD pipeline platform to improve agility and automate deployments. The Engineer will write new code, as well as make changes to existing code with the goal of improving and expanding our products and services while ensuring compliance with Security, Risk Management, and other department policies.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintain, augment, and improve existing code, as well as write new code as specified by tickets and design documents
- Collaborate with senior engineers to create architecture documents for new and existing systems
- Collaborate with peers and senior engineers as needed to ensure code meets or exceeds minimum standards for security, quality, and maintainability
- Work in an agile development environment, involving common agile ceremonies such as standups, sprints, and grooming / planning sessions
- Maintain ownership and responsibility for all work performed through production release and beyond
- Possess working knowledge of releasing code to various environments using a CI/CD automated deployment pipeline
- Ability to work remotely with a diverse team spread out across continents and time zones
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education, Experience & Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or commensurate work experience required
- 5+ years relevant experience developing software using non-scripted, object-oriented programming languages such as C++ or Java
- 3+ years relevant experience in software development and delivery
Knowledge & Skills:
- Comfortable running occasional scrum meetings (backup for scrum master)
- Comfortable working with Product Owners on Acceptance Criteria and ticket creation
- Familiar with common sprint tasks such as assigning tickets to sprints, using Fix Versions to track releases, and timely ticket updates
