POSITION SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to create new designs and drawings, edit existing designs and drawings, and use the PDM Workgroup Tool for Configuration Management of designs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops complete, accurate, and detailed SolidWorks drawings from notes, rough sketches or general instructions of engineers.
• Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
• Modify drawings to meet altered engineering requirements based on sketches, specifications, manufacturing procedures or Engineering Change Notice (ECN).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

2-5 Years of SolidWorks experience

• Proficiency in SolidWorks with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
• Ability to perform assignments with instruction regarding tasks required and expected results, generally under minimal supervision from managers or other personnel.
• Ability to respond to all inquiries from other internal groups or personnel. Includes resolving design and drafting issues with manufacturing personnel.

ADDTIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Ability to adapt communication style and messaging to different audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, ensuring stakeholder expectations are managed appropriately.
• Ability to work in a project-oriented, fast paced environment to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in common business software (Microsoft Office – Word, Outlook, Power Point, Excel, SharePoint)

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Technical Degree in drafting or related field.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

• Due to contractual requirements must be a United States Citizen
• Must be able to pass an initial background check.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Department of Defense security clearance. Employee/selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information (as required)
• Must be able and willingness to travel (CONUS/OCONUS)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
