Solution Architect - DevOps & Observability

(with the potential to grow into a Client Engineering Lead)

• Compensation scale : $118,625 - $162,121

• Place of work : 35% at our Los Angeles office (90067) / 20% travel & onsite at clients or events / 45% at home. The percentages for travel and home may be adjusted based on projects.

As Solution Architect, you will

• Build deep technical relationships with key customer stakeholders and act as their trusted advisor, ensuring they get the most out of the at every stage of their business & technology transformation journeys.
• Strategize with our Business Technology Leaders; provide technical support for sales opportunities (or, occasionally, customer success).
• Advocate for the prospect/customer, enabling them to justify their decision and investment.
• Partner with our Sales Team to articulate the overall SIA & IBM value proposition of the AiOps & Observability portfolio of products (Instana, Turbonomic, SevOne, Flexera, Cloud Pak for AiOps).
• Review, understand and evaluate business requests to determine feasibility, impacts, risks and make recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency.
• Manage the overall technical relationship with customers during the trial/evaluation phase. Communicate SIA & IBM's value based on activities and work with customers on any identified issues or concerns to a successful conclusion.
• Maintain and deliver product demos, demo experiences, and videos to showcase SIA & IBM's capabilities to address prospects' business needs.
• Help create workshops, training material, reference architectures, product documentations and any relevant artifact that would help us provide additional value to our customers, deepen their understanding of our technology and run the most reliably in production.
• Support field marketing needs with other sales resources, e.g., staffing booth and supporting conference sponsorships.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in solution design & architecture performed in business environments.
• Hands-on experience (installation, configuration, troubleshooting) with at least one of the following IT Automation products :IBM portfolio includes Instana, Turbonomic, SevOne. IBM also has Cloud Pak for Watson AIOps.

or equivalent products : Splunk, AppDynamics, DataDog, BigPanda, New Relic, PagerDuty, Sumo Logic, etc.)

• Experience with IBM Cloud / or at least one of the following : AWS, Azure, GCP
• Curious by nature and enjoys continuous learning: you will be trained on the IBM portfolio of products above.
• Must have the authorization to work in US (citizenship or Green Card) and for business & educational travel in North America.
• Asset : Experience with at least one IT Asset Management/Software Asset Management products: IBM has Flexera / or equivalent products : Snow, USU, Ivanti, Bmc, Servicenow, Certero, Matrix42, Broadcom, Eracent, etc.)
