SOUTH FLORIDA TRAVEL NANNY NEEDED FOR 3 KIDDOS! Job at The Nanny League, Inc.
Overview:
BOCA RATON, FL (LOCAL CANDIDATES STRONGLY PREFERRED)- High profile family in South Florida seeks a highly motivated, intelligent, and flexible FULL-TIME EXPERIENCED NANNY who is travel-ready to join their team of three nannies and help care for their three children, ages 10, 8 and 4. The schedule is primarily afternoon/evening shifts from 12:30-8:30PM. Nanny should be flexible and ready for last-minute shift changes and be flexible to work other shifts, which could begin as early as 6AM. Weekends will be on-call, rotating with the two nannies currently staffed. Hours will range between 40-60 hours/week depending on travel, overnights and the family’s needs. Flexibility is key!
The home is fully staffed. Nanny will work on a team with 2 additional nannies, so communication, teamwork, and a “can-do” attitude are of the utmost importance! Nanny must be able to listen and take direction from family but also be comfortable taking initiative with the day’s activities. A nanny who is highly motivated, able to think on their feet, and can work in a fast-paced home will be most successful.
The job responsibilities include but are not limited to, working as a team with the additional nannies, and caring for the well-being of three children, ages 4, 8, and 10. They will look to the nanny to encourage healthy eating habits, model cleanliness, and teach the children how to care for their spaces. Must be willing to redirect and discipline undesirable behavior in accordance with the family’s beliefs and parenting style. Nanny must also be able to keep up with high-energy children, be fun, and be engaging. Other tasks include packing and unpacking for the children, researching and organizing activities while at home and traveling, as well as assisting with homework help.
The 8- and 10-year-old are in school full-time M-F. The 4-year-old is in preschool Tuesday/Friday. A family car is provided while on the job. If the kids are sick or the parents decide to pull them out of school on a school day for travel, etc., it will be important for this person to be able to help the kids complete the necessary assignments they missed at school. During the school year, the family follows the school schedule. They typically travel monthly, for 3-5 days in duration. School breaks (such as winter and spring) will be closer to 10-14 days in duration. They travel all summer so a willingness to work longer rotational schedules is necessary (I.e. 2 weeks on/2 weeks off). Travel will rotate between one other nanny on the team.
The safety of the children at all times is of utmost importance. Nanny must be willing and able to communicate effectively with children about rules and boundaries to ensure safety is maintained. Must be vigilant in keeping a watchful eye on all the children at all times. Nanny should also be comfortable participating in the family’s active lifestyle, which includes four-wheeling, hiking, boating, snorkeling, etc.
The ideal candidate will have a teaching background or a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or comparable), experience working with children with ADHD, and experience caring for three children at the same time. Must have 3-5 recent years of full-time experience working as a nanny, in a large formal estate (preferred, but not required), valid driver's license, valid USA passport, proficiency of the English language (read, write, speak), tech-savvy, ability to travel, excellent swimmer, and excellent references. Pay is commensurate with experience. Start date is ASAP!
