Material Planning is defined as: Schedules and forecasts the right volumes of materials, goods and products inbound to the business from its supply chain. As a Material Planning Coordinator, you will provide material planning expertise for North American supply chain. This will include planning and forecasting the right volumes of materials, goods and products inbound to the business from its supply chain companies to meet business needs and objectives. This position will play a key role in providing a comprehensive analysis and will require maintaining strong relationships both internally and externally to ensure supply of materials meets requirements.
The successful candidate will work with internal, external teams to create and maintain valid action plans to resolve and prevent issues with suppliers. Participate in regular planning reviews and prepare data in line with changes.
Responsibilities:
- Create plans, forecasts, and schedules relating to materials required to meet operational requirements.
- Responsible for issuing Purchase Orders and maintaining SAP when applicable. I.e., Master Data setup.
- Collaborate with Purchasing and other departments and stakeholders internal/external to maintain continuity in the supply chain.
- Ensure the capacity and flexibility of the supplier is closely followed and reported.
- Active participation in cross-functional workgroups together with Global Material Planning team.
- Full knowledge of the planning process and constraints originating from manufacturing.
- Establish performance metrics for measurement (KPI’s), comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
- Follow up on personal KPI’s and department KPI’s by performing tasks as described to reach the organizational targets.
- Undertake detailed and comprehensive analysis on material availability.
- Make recommendations based on findings and analysis.
- Create and manages daily KPI (Key Performance Indicators) dashboard to monitor the status of parts deliveries and inventory levels at all delivery points.
- Develop countermeasure processes to ensure an uninterrupted supply of parts.
- Develop and manages critical and emergency order and delivery process for critical car down situations.
- Window for supplier material flow error and corrective/recovery actions.
- Working according to Fisker Inc. principles.
Basic Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in operational supply chain analyst function.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Logistics or higher.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
- Experienced in SAP S4 Hana or other systems for demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management.
- Previous fast paced, high volume automotive experience with Material planning.
- Driven, self-managed and results oriented.
- Strong customer-focus and service mind-set with the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
- Solid understanding of Tier 1 supplier operations and risks.

Expected Salary Range: $46,060.00-$128,310.00 a year.
Additional compensation: Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker’s equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
Benefits: Fisker provides comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, vision, and disability insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.
The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
