Job Title: Speech/Language PathologistSupervisor: Director of Special Education Start Date: Immediately Hours: Monday through Friday; LMS 8:15am-4:45pm, Upper School 8:45am-5:15pmDescription: The Speech/Language Pathologist is responsible for providing services and accommodations to students, including inclusion and small-group support to students. Responsibilities include (but not limited to): Provide small group and/or individual speech and language therapy for identified students in grades K-12 with communication, auditory, or language processing disorders.Maintain records on the initial evaluation, progress, and discharge of students to identify problems, track progress, and justify treatment.Develop an individualized plan of care for each student. Provide present levels of speech and language functioning and speech and language goals and objectives for students IEPs.Collaborate and communicate effectively with teachers, special educators, audiologists, and families to develop and implement individual or group programs and support classroom activities.Use qualitative and quantitative assessment methods, including screenings, standardized tests, and special instruments, to analyze and diagnose the nature and extent of speech and language impairments and to measure progress toward IEP goals and standards.
