We are seeking a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team and assist in the provision of high-quality speech and language therapy services. The ideal candidate will live in the local area, be able to travel in the assigned area, and hold a Texas SLPA license. Experience in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy services to clients using AAC devices, as well as traditional therapy methods
• Document progress and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions
• Assist in the preparation and organization of therapy materials and resources
• Provide education and support to clients and their families on the use of AAC devices and communication strategies
• Travel to various settings to deliver therapy services to clients, including patients' homes, daycares, and adult day habilitation facilities.
• Provide therapy services through telehealth.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of therapy sessions and client progress.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field
• State licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
• Experience in AAC is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel to various settings to deliver therapy services.
• Ability to maintain accurate and complete documentation of therapy sessions and client progress.

COVID-19 considerations:
All therapists are checked out a forehead thermometer, PPE (surgical masks, face shields, N95 masks, gloves, & hand sanitizer) and iPad with apps for use in therapy. Therapists are required to used therapy materials that can be sanitized between visits.
