We are looking for a committed and patient-focused Speech Therapist (CF/CCC) to join our interdisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, treat and develop plans of care to help improve, maintain and restore certain skills and functions in their clients. You will offer effective and client-centered care to people with speech, language, cognition or swallowing impairments, from young to older adults and everyone in between. For Clinical Fellowships, treatments will be under the supersicion of the RPE/CFY Clinical Supervisor as outlined by the State of California Speech Pathology and Audiology Licensing Board and the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. The successful candidate will have a holistic perspective and will be able to adapt the environment to fit the person. We offer a unique environment with innovative equipment and treatment methods where you can join our Physical and Occupational Therapists to help patients gain their life back.

The demand for more services in our clinic is growing and we are excited to bring Speech Therapy to our center. This will start as a PER DIEM / Part Time position - as the case load grows it may grow into a consistent part time or full time position with benefits if that is what you are looking for. Responsibilities

• Conduct screenings to assess a client’s speech and swallowing challenges.
• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language and communication disorders.
• Develop an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide rehabilitation or communication strategies for those who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Train, communicate and educate family and caregivers of those with communication or swallowing disorders.
• Offer augmentative and alternative communication systems for clients who experience challenges with severe social expression or language comprehension disorders, such as those on the autism spectrum.
• Use an interdisciplinary approach to address a client’s communication and swallowing needs.
• Complete administrative tasks, including the recording of a client’s progress during and after treatment and the maintenance of client records.

Skills

• Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of speech therapy
• Hands-on experience with computer programs and creative media
• Familiarity with common evaluation tools/scales
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
• Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession
• Professional behavior
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Qualifications

• Mater's Degree or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology from an acrredited institution.
• Must have SLP License in California or be elgicble for a temporary license (RPE)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA (CCC) or eligible for Clincal Fellowship.
