Sperry Data Engineer Job Requirements:

The Sperry Data Engineer will be the responsible for the digital data management for Sperry’s operational data. He/She will work with key stakeholders to establish data management requirements and processes to drive consistency and standardization in digital data that is captured during job design, execution and post job analysis/lessons learned.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and support process for all Sperry drilling operations data upload into Halliburton Data Universe (HDU) to make the usage of data more efficient for Sperry
• Develop and support process for extracting data and data conditioning from HDU into analysis applications to ensure the accuracy and required confidence levels in analysis performed
• Lead data analytics projects to extract key learnings from off-set well analysis to drive performance improvements and consistency in design engineering and job execution.
• Perform data analysis using different analytical techniques including AI/ML to implement data filtering/conditioning algorithms and established best practices/standards
• Drive implementation of data quality processes and best practices within Sperry's software.
• Own and be responsible for centrally hosted well planning databases; Including database management and software management

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Petroleum engineering or equivalent
• Operations experience with O&G Drilling and L/MWD services
• Proven track record with use of data analytics to gather insight into drilling performance and learnings
• SAP experience desired
• Experience with establishing data management standards and processes
• Completion of an undergraduate degree in STEM and 8+ years of related experience is required. Master's degree or Ph.D. in STEM is preferred
