The Tullahoma News is seeking a full-time sports reporter/photographer who reports to the editor.

Key responsibilities include:

• Effectively and accurately gather information for a wide range of community and schools-based sports and leisure stories according to posted team/event schedules
• Originate and complete additional community-based story ideas
• Complete any additional story or photography assignment assigned by the editor
• Complete multiple stories for each edition on deadline
• Shoot or curate from sources photographs to accompany each story
• Post completed story packages to the website and social media
• Create and edit multimedia projects, including videos, slideshows or podcasts as needed
• Convert submitted data or box scores to print format
• Significant evening and weekend hours required; daytime limited not to exceed 45 hours total

Key qualifications include:

• Strong grammar and time management skills are absolutely essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Solid photography skills and comfort with and an understanding of DSLR cameras
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once and complete each according to deadline
• The ideal candidate will have a degree in journalism, communications, English or a related field but experience will also be considered.
• Experience with Adobe InDesign a plus

Compensation package includes mileage allowance, company health benefits and a 401(k) with company match. Paid leave and holiday pay available after completion of 90-day probationary period.
