Job Summary:

As a SQL Developer, you will develop MS-SQL queries and procedures, create custom reports, and modify data forms to enhance organizational Productivity. You will also be responsible for designing databases or updates and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance through proper testing and vetting.

Essential Functions:

• Working closely with IT to support physical database administration including performance management, security, installations, upgrades, patches, backup, recovery, space management, performance tuning and capacity planning
• Ensure that all database environments are deployed, maintained, and managed via proactive monitoring of performance and capacity planning of RDBMS
• Maintain backup and recovery
• Managing database security, roles, and profiles
• Ensure data requirements have been identified, design is fully normalized, and database complies with industry best practices and strict security requirements
• Participating in design sessions with IT staff and will work closely with business analysts, who develop the business and software specifications for project objectives
• Provides business with day-to-day stable, and optimally designed, tested, and implemented database environment that allows continued growth of the business
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdepartmental projects
• Train and work with various levels of company employees

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assist with support tickets as needed
• Prepare customized reports for end users
• Create documentation of processes
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications:

• 4 year College degree or equivalent experience in a similar role
• Experience in a Windows Servier enterprise environment
• Microsoft Certification(s) a plus
• Networking Certification(s) a plus

Skill Set/Knowledge Required

• Microsoft SQL Server
• Basic understanding of best practices for database management
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Strong oral written communication skills, ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
• Willingness to learn and develop E21 SQL environment and EDI processing
• High degree of professionalism
• Flexible (Able to change direction to aid in projects and tasks)
• Ability to cope under pressure
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Google Chrome
• Strong organizational skills, able to multi-tasking, attention to detail and prioritizing skills
• Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationship
